NorthXNorthwest's offers thoughtfully designed studio, 1... and 2 bedroom apartments and endless amenities such as a full-service fitness center, cozy fireplace lounge, business pods, and an expansive rooftop terrace overlooking downtown Philadelphia.
Maintenance Is Terrible — Good Luck Getting Your Deposit Back
First, the maintenance in this building is awful. At one point my living room ceiling started leaking. I had to use two containers to keep the water from getting onto the carpet. I submitted an emergency request on a Friday (the day I discovered the leak), then left town for the weekend. When I returned on Sunday, the leak had worsened and there were multiple steady drips that required additional containers. I submitted another emergency repair request and asked them why they ignored it all weekend. Their response was, “we left it alone because it seemed like it was getting better.” They only fixed the issue after I called the Fire Department to inspect the problem.
On a different occasion, I requested maintenance for a clogged sink. During the “repair,” maintenance somehow caused a serious leak under the sink that ruined a lot of my personal property (makeup, band aids, etc.). The plumbing was then reassembled incorrectly, which required another maintenance visit.
Maintenance also frequently marked repair requests as “complete” without performing any work.
It also took *several* months and far too many follow up requests to replace my broken washing machine. When the replacement was finally installed, maintenance damaged drywall and stained the carpet while removing the old machine. They also damaged the bifold door so badly that it became unusable.
In my bathroom, a towel bar was installed incorrectly and repeatedly fell off during normal use. I requested repairs roughly 20 times over the course of a year before it was finally secured properly.
Second, they will not return your security deposits. I was told I would receive mine within six weeks after my lease ended, but it never arrived. When I called to follow up, management suddenly claimed they had mailed it two weeks earlier but could not provide a tracking number or any proof it had been sent. They also refused to provide contact information for the “corporate” office they claimed handled security deposits. I still haven’t received it. I absolutely do not recommend this building or any Greystar property.

They are constantly jacking up our rent and adding fees, while making it a worse place to live. Things are constantly breaking. The key fob system hasn't worked in weeks, so they just leave the doors unlocked. We got an email saying that there would be increased security; however, I have not seen any added security. Maintenence requests and questions to the leasing office often go unresolved for weeks with no communication. There was a literal fire in the courtyard up against the building and maintence couldn't even be bothered to hose down the mulch to prevent the fire from spreading. They are constantly doing construction in the building, so in your apartment during the day, don't expect quiet if you work from home. After living here for a few years, I fully intend on moving out when my lease is up.

The amount you pay for rent is not worth the headache of Managment and the lack of empathy they present. The dog park had poop for weeks, they were not cooperative when we had issues moving out, it took weeks and weeks for Managment to get back to us without presenting any solutions

used to love living here until a horrid experience with the property managers. super unhelpful, had to file a claim in court to get my security deposit back to which their lawyer said was a “very simple solution.” after a whole lot of nonsense, i am getting my security deposit back finally, no thanks to NorthXNorthwest :)
